This glass toped workbench is primarily used as the etching and anodizing area (a mini anodizer is in the basket above, right). A small, table-top belt grinder also sits in the corner (this does not get much use, but it’s set up with rougher grit belts (extras seen in the basket above it), and used when materials need to be removed more aggressively than with the other adjacent belt sander). Chemicals are stored on the shelf below, with other supplies in the drawer. The table-top is covered in glass, and also runs up the 2″ metal sides. A lot of liquids are used in etching and anodizing, and with the glass in place, it makes clean up easy.
